I am a Chicagoland photographer living in the lakeshore community of Highland Park. Photography for me formally began in a university darkroom in the eighties developing 35mm and 4x5” negatives followed by making contact sheets and prints in a black and white darkroom. After graduation I worked as a commercial and architectural photographer for several years before going back to school and changing careers. Upon receiving a degree in architecture, I worked in facility planning and taught architectural planning and design at a small midwestern university. After years of being a stay at home dad, teaching part-time and consulting and making furniture, I picked up a camera again.
